Dude, You Rock Like an 80s Hair Band...

Does anyone else laugh when they see Bret Michaels on TV these days?

I was never a fan of Poison while in high school, yet for some inexplicable reason, when Bret Michaels resurfaced on VH-1's Rock of Love, I was compelled to watch. I had to see what 20 years does to an 80s rock icon. Watching him "date" girls young enough to be his daughter, chicks who didn't even know his songs, just made me laugh. I laughed hard enough to watch Rock of Love 2. I swore I wasn't going to watch a third season of it, but the Skank of Love Bus Tour began, and I hopped on for that bus ride. If you had asked me at the time, I would have denied being addicted to the shows, but looking back, I sadly was.

"Hello, my name is Nicole, and I watched EVERY episode of ALL three seasons of Rock Of Love."

And now Bret Michaels is going to be on Celebrity Apprentice

It's amusing to see what time does to some people and where life takes them. Bret's hustling to remain culturally significant, but with less make up and more bandanas. If he can pull it off, well then rock on, Bret.

I tell you this story to explain the inspiration behind my latest card for Wide Sarcasm Sea.

High on Aqua Net fumes, those 80s hair bands sure knew how to rock, didn't they? Click on the photo to go to the shop listing and read the inside of the card.

Keep on rockin' with your bad selves,
Nic
