Sippy Cup Cocktails- Friday's F&B

Sippy Cup Cocktails

While on Twitter this morning, I saw that there were many work-from-home moms who were without daycare today, leaving them to try and get work done with the little ones underfoot. This is my reality every day, so I can relate to the frustration and stress of trying to do both things at once. And the need for a cocktail at the end of it all. So for all the parents pulling simultaneous double duty today, here are cocktails using mixers parents are likely to have on hand already- apple juice, orange juice, milk. And since you're pilfering the little ones' juice and milk, skip the fruit garnishes and give them to your kids instead.

Happy Apple Cocktail
1 part vodka
1 1/2 parts sour apple liqueur
1 part apple juice
1/2 part lemon juice
Ginger ale

Shake first four ingredients in a cocktail shaker, strain over ice and top off with ginger ale.

Allie's Summer Breeze
1 part vodka
1 1/2 parts triple sec
3 parts orange juice
3 parts lemonade

Mix or shake. Pour over ice.

Almond Latte Cocktail
1 part amaretto
1 part coffee liqueur
1 1/2 parts milk
1 1/2 parts cream

Shake with ice and then strain over ice or without ice. I believe half and half would work here in lieu of milk and cream.

Here's to all of you- Enjoy! **clinkies**

Take care,
Nic

Note- I wouldn't recommend actually hiding your cocktail in a sippy
cup however, because if your child is anything like mine, he sees a
sippy cup, he assumes it's his.
