Just popping in to share my post this month for Oh My! Handmade Goodness. The theme over there is “Summer Camp”, and I just happen to be helping out with summer camp at my son’s former preschool. A few weeks ago we made Powerballs with the kids, so I doodled up the version of them that I make at home and shared it as a printable illustrated recipe.
In other news…
Those of you viewing this post on your computer (as opposed to email) will notice that the site design is different. Change is in store for me and Three By Sea which I’m excited about, as it’s helped infuse some new life into this blog. The old “Pinterest-style” layout was nice to look at, but the site didn’t feel as inviting or user-friendly as I want it to be. Over the coming weeks the site will continue to change as I organize old posts, update pages, and tweak the new website theme.
In the meantime, expect to see more regular posting. Admittedly, grieving the loss of my brother Christian and my dad within the last two years has made it hard to return to blogging. My desire to create shriveled up for several months after each of their deaths, leaving me to feel like I had nothing to share, and therefore, no reason to blog. And while healing has been a slow process, I see how important simplicity, creativity, and amusement still are in my life and that they remain my reasons for creating and blogging.
To finding your way back,
