This quote seemed appropriate to my New Year’s desire to “ABSORB” more this year. So far I’ve applied this intention to the books I read, making myself finish one book before I begin another, in the hopes that I retain more of what I read. It seems to be working; at the very least, I no longer have the nagging stress of multiple unfinished books. In the past, I had books on my desk, my Nook, the bathroom (don’t act like you don’t!), my nightstand etc. No more.
I’ve recently finished Start With Why: How Great Leaders Inspire Everyone to Take Action by Simon Sinek for work (LOVED!) and A Visit from the Goon Squad by Jennifer Egan for my book club (good, but emotionally heavy.) This weekend I’m finishing Austin Kleon’s How to Steal Like an Artist (a must read for all creative types!)
What about you? Are you a one-at-time reader or multi-book reader? Read anything funny or interesting lately?
