Here are some Me-Mo cards I did by hand recently, all done on 4″x6″ index cards. I dig index cards for their size and non-threatening format- not too much blank space to fill, and if you completely hose one up, they’re cheap enough that starting over is no big deal.
For my 39th birthday last month, some friends and I spent the afternoon at Mazzaro’s, an Italian marketplace in St. Pete, eating and drinking while the kids ran wild. Then I went home and “couched” for the rest of the evening, stuffed from delicious food and tired from drinking wine in the afternoon. Not quite as wild (read: DRUNK) as my 29th, but I felt FAR better the day after this birthday!
I think this idea of a favorite moment from the week will end up as a Me-Mo card template of some sort. Five minutes to capture some small moment in time that might otherwise escape your memory…
This was just a funny moment from the weekend that I felt like doodling. I really like this idea of illustrating moments, rather than just write about them, even if it is with goofy little doodles. Adds some personality and makes the moment more memorable, don’t you think?
What about you? How confident are you in your drawing/doodling skills? Would a doodle class/series of posts be of interest to anyone?
(Side note- My Art Every Day Month entry for today is up on “Today I Created…” for those interested in following along.)

OMG! I love, love these. They are like little windows on your world. Very nice. I love the idea of doing them on index cards so that there is no fear factor. Thanks for stopping by and letting me discover you blog. Happy Creating! Enjoy AEDM.
Love your drawings so much! And a happy belated birthday to you!
Thanks, Leah! You’re too kind!
