Ask me if I ever saw a day where I would be whipping up matching Halloween costumes for me and my family, and I would have thought you were smoking crack. But alas, I put down my own crack pipe* long enough to do just that…
What began as a costume for J morphed into last minute sweatshirt shopping and speed sewing to create matching jackets for my husband and me. It was my husband’s idea, which quite frankly shocked me given how “meh” he acts about most holidays.
And it was his holiday spirit that inspired the above Halloween Me-Mo card. Since I didn’t like the background of the above photo, I cut out the good part (me & my guys!), pasted it onto the Me-Mo card and wrote/doodled around it. I used Elmer’s glue for the photo, but Mono Adhesive is great for stuff like this.
Honestly, this took five minutes to do.
So my treat to you this week are free “Trick or Treat” Me-Mo cards to write, type, or doodle a memory or paste a favorite momento (or candy wrapper!). Print extras and have your kids draw their costumes or write down their favorite moment (or candy!) from this Halloween season. I say “season” because J has already worn his costume to four different events and doesn’t even go neighborhood trick or treating until tonight!
The Me-Mo cards come as a PDF file, so you’ll need the *free* Adobe Reader to open/type/download/print your cards. You probably already have Reader on your computer, but if not, click here. If you prefer typing to writing, you can click on the cards, type, and print.** The blue boxes seen on the cards won’t print, only typed text. The PDF file includes both card orientations (portrait and landscape) for your convenience. Click here to get your Me-Mo cards.
Happy Halloween and don’t forget to take a moment to take note of life!

* I do not really smoke crack. Please do not call child services. Thank You
**Disclaimer: This is my first attempt at creating fill-in-the-blank PDFs, so if it doesn’t work, 1) OOPS- sorry! 2) Let me know so I can figure out what I screwed up!!

Ha! This post made me laugh out loud-for many reasons. I promise I won’t call child protection on you! Happy Halloween to you and your sharky crew-love the matching suits and the fact that you all got in on the fun this year. I will definitely be printing off these cards so Ila can draw her favourite moments from Halloween-I’ve been thinking that she is more then old enough to start her own me-mo style book. Thank you for the reminder:)
Wonderful family picture! And the matching costumes are great in spirit, creativity and sewing skills.
