Just wanted to share the latest progress on the ABC Garden Project. Technically it’s not just fruits and vegetables anymore, now that I’ve added Italian Parsley. But pickings for the letter “I” were slim and I LOVE Italian Parsley.
And yes, I know “jicama” doesn’t exactly reinforce the phonetic sound of the letter “J”, but I never promised this project would teach your kid to read.
I kid. As much as I think this project will rock for kids, I did want it to be a project that could come out of the nursery and into the grown up world. I’m also still playing with the color scheme, experimenting with hues and striving to keep the palette simple.
But I just love seeing the letters together, don’t you? I think this will rock as a print. I’ve got 13″ x19″ paper I can use with my wide format printer and I think will be perfect for this project.
And fridge magnets. Definitely want to do those as well.
What else? Should I offer up individual letters as prints or magnets, too? 5″x7″ or 8″x10″?
Leave a comment and let me know what comes to mind.
