Ok, I’m back on track this week with the “Find Inspiration In…” assignments. There wasn’t a post last week due to the never-ending home/termite/roof inspections that day. But on the plus side, we close TOMORROW on our new house, so I’m sure you understand. (Did you catch my To Do Diagram of the new house?)
Now let’s get down to business…
This Week’s “Find Inspiration In…”
This week’s inspiration is THE ALPHABET.
The idea for this week’s assignment came from Design*Sponge’s “Design Your Own Alphabet” contest. I love hand-lettering and want to do more of it, so this seemed like a perfect reason to do so. If you’d like to enter the contest, head over to Design*Sponge for details.
If hand-lettering isn’t your thing, there’s still plenty to be done with this idea of “The Alphabet”. Cook up some alphabet soup, drag out your kid’s block set, play with the ABC magnets cluttering up your fridge, write a letter, create a pattern from them…endless ideas, really.
The Previous “Find Inspiration In…”
For the last assignment, I sent you to “Things Organized Neatly” a blog filled with organization porn for the OCD-types and neat freaks. The idea of order ended up inspiring one of my holiday cards for the Wide Sarcasm Sea shop. I’ll be premiering the cards in the first part of November, but until then, I’ll share the layout of the card.
A flowchart- how much more organized can you get? I’ll be sure to let you know when the actual card is for sale, so stay tuned!
Until then, get inspired and make something!
