One major goal of my Three By Sea blog revamp is to help stimulate and cultivate creative thinking. On Monday I offered the Swiss Army Fork Exercise to get you thinking outside of the box.
Now I want to introduce weekly inspiration challenges, so to speak, to further push our creative thinking and maybe even generate new ideas to incorporate into your work or home.
Each week I’ll present something to serve as the inspriation for stretching our creative muscles. It might be an object, a photo, a quote, maybe even a song. What you create from it is up to you. It could be a drawing, a poem, a pattern, a recipe, a song, a craft project…inspiration takes you funny places sometimes. Perhaps you’ll come up with something wholly new or a reworking or the original inspiration.
This week I’m starting with RED ONION.
I found this in my fridge last night, on its last leg, but full of possiblities…
The onion’s layers, shape, design; its color, taste, scent, the sound of its crunch; the way it makes you cry…what could you create using using this red onion (or a red onion you have) as your inspiration?
I don’t know where this all will lead, but I like the idea of having specific challenges each week to give our creativite thinking some focus and guidance…whatcha think?
Next week I’ll share a something that I created using RED ONION as an inspiration. I would love if you did the same, either by leaving a comment, sharing on your own blog and linking back, or posting on the Three By Sea Facebook page!
