Trips to the library are a weekly occurrence at our house. Our library has a great storytime, complete with songs, a short movie and STICKERS! (Stickers are big with the two-year-olds.) Afterwards, we pick out some books to add to the reading rotation at home. Book selections by Jack generally are based on covers (it starts early in life). He then takes his choices to the checkout desk, hands them to the ladies, and walks out, stack in hand, all big and proud.
It makes the teacher in me giddy and happy.
Checking out new books each week also saves me a ton of money, which makes Amazon unhappy.
The book in these photos, Big and Busy: How Things Go, may have to be purchased, however. Jack’s obsessed with all things that GO, so it’s most approriate he’d be obsessed with this book. Since Wednesday, he has slept with this book. Naptime, bedtime, early morning visits to our room- that book is in his arms.
It makes the mommy in me all gushy and smiley.
Have a great weekend & happy reading!
